Fully developed by Kokku, Tower Escape is now available on Meta Horizon

A collaborative mobile adventure set on a mysterious island in the Bermuda Triangle.

Recife (Brasil), 19/12/2025Kokku announces the launch of its first game for Meta Horizon. Tower Escape is a cooperative mobile game that challenges players to gather resources, refine materials, and construct shared structures as they progress through an isolated island in the Bermuda Triangle. Designed for short, energetic sessions, the game focuses on coordination, clear visual communication, and a steady sense of shared progression.

In partnership with Meta, Tower Escape was conceived and fully developed by Kokku, covering every stage from initial concept and gameplay systems to art production, level design, UI/UX, engineering, co-op logic, and quality assurance.

“This partnership represents an important step for us, not only because it opens a new market, but because it allows our team to demonstrate the full depth of what we can build end-to-end”, said Thiago de Freitas, CEO at Kokku. “Meta has been an excellent partner throughout development, and we’re proud to deliver a project that reflects the level of quality and integration we aim for in every game we create.”

With a 28 people multidisciplinary team, the studio built the entire resource loop, designed all contraptions and tools, structured the multi-layer island, and implemented the game’s text-light approach to onboarding and player guidance.

“The response from Meta to Tower Escape has been extremely positive, which is very meaningful for our team,” said Carlos Estigarribia, VP of Client Relations at OV Entertainment group. “Working on this project allowed Kokku to understand the platform in detail, its strengths, its constraints, and how to design efficiently within its ecosystem. That experience now positions us to move faster and more confidently on future titles, and we’re excited about the possibilities this collaboration may open going forward.”

To ensure a clear and dynamic cooperative experience, Kokku designed the game so that each action is understood directly through gameplay flow. Instead of relying on text, Tower Escape guides players through movement, pacing, animation, and visual cues that immediately show their impact on the environment and on the group’s progress.

This apparent simplicity is supported by strong technical integration across systems, resource behavior, and world structure. “Creating a game from scratch for a brand new platform such as Meta Horizon was challenging from both a technical and design perspective”, explains Lucas Puntel, game designer at Kokku. “We had to account for possible limitations and not take for granted features that are widely available everywhere else. This led to a design process where we made decisions that would not be taken if we were working in a familiar framework” he completes. The result is “a very unique product that combines elements from popular genres such as Survivor, Builder and Platformer, but brings its own unique twist from being a Meta Horizon World made by a bunch of passionate latin developers”, celebrates Puntel.

Tower Escape was designed so that group progress is always visible and connected, reinforcing each player’s sense of contributing to a shared objective. Kokku’s technical expertise emerges in how these elements come together: complex systems operating in the background to keep the player experience simple, fluid, and collaborative.
